Hey everyone! I've created this blog to share my love and passion for Fifth Harmony. I've been with them since X Factor and it's so beautiful seeing them transform as grown women slaying the music industry. Keep up with this blog for everyday-Fifth Harmony posts :D Please come back for more posts!
Here to bring you the news that it's been two potential Fifth Harmony tracks' names have been leaked. People are quite unsure about this revelation, including the fact that in this music database, Fifth Harmony is not recorded as "5th Harmony", but again, no one is certain for sure if these tracks (which were recently registered into the database) are for 100% real.
"You Take Me To Heaven" & "A Beautiful Day" are two potential Fifth Harmony tracks which could be on their album. Something like this had happened for Big Bad Wolf, which did in fact appear on the album, but as a bonus track on the deluxe edition of 7/27 for Japan. So these two tracks could possibly be titles of tracks on the album, but I think it'll be like Big Bad Wolf and won't be the lead single.
Constant speculation is still happening, revolving around the assumptions that Fifth Harmony will be releasing their new single June 2nd, the same day as their GMA performance.... But nothing has been announced yet.... What do you think? Let me know in the comments below if there has been any other signs regarding the new single coming out soon!
Work From Home debuted BIG last week on Billboard and in international charts. The girls did little promo for Work From Home in a week and a half and managed to debut at #12. They have literally done no 'intended' promotion for international countries, yet dedicated international harmonizers outside of America always pull through and made a splash in the music industries around the world to gain momentum in Fifth Harmony's new era. How did Work From Home do for the past week? Well.... Internationally the momentum is still there, but in America, it's been a rollercoaster. After a high debut on the Billboard Charts, the single began dropping down the American iTunes Chart and went as low as #14, barely selling around 20% of what the #1 iTunes single was selling. Now the song has begun rising once again, climbing to compete with new singles from Blake Shelton, Meghan Trainor, Ariana Grande and Zayn Malik (or ZAYN...) Read the entire post to understand how Fifth Harmony's been doing for the past week in terms of iTunes, Billboard and International charts! (This Work From Home update will cover from Friday, March 11th to Thursday, March 17th, 2016)
Billboard (USA) Charts
As said above, it's a little mixed between new peaks and chart drops. Dropping from #12 to #16 on the Hot 100 is an indicator of less streaming and single purchases, but due to the rise on the iTunes chart, I believe they can still maintain their single in the Top 20 and hopefully stay in Top 15 for the next few weeks. It's honestly up to 5H and how they go about promoting the single. They've already visited several radio stations in the USA individually and started a twitter trend of #WorkAcrossAmerica while travelling across America together on a mission to gain more attention for their new single. How effective are their promoting strategies right now? Check the charts below to see how they did on the charts in the U.S.! International Charts
Our ladies are just killin' it internationally! Work From Home easily proves 5H can live up to Worth It's success by managing to peak higher than Worth It on several international charts in a matter of 3 weeks! Worth It took several months to climb up charts like Canada and Australia while Work From Home only required around two weeks to achieve positions barely below Worth It'speaks. Worth It required more promotion in the UK in order to land #3, yet no promotion was given to Work From Home and it still peaks to #11 (apparently on a mid-week report, the single is well on it's way of entering the Top 5!). Check out all the impressive International debuts and increases, and gladly there was only one chart decrease in a minor chart in Canada.

iTunes Charts (As of March 17, 2016 3:00 P.M. Mountain Time)
The girls are slaying on some of the iTunes charts, but some iTunes charts are falling behind. Check out all the current positions according to the current time I've written this! And might I add, 5H are slaying in the UK and Australia! Bravo! No shade to Little Mix, but 5H is giving them a run for their money now that they are competing with LM in their own country. Hopefully, sooner or later, Little Mix will be able to top the charts on Billboard in America. Although many people have heard of them in the U.S., Little Mix just can't seem to break-through the wall in America's music industry and achieve high success on the charts. Don't know why, but I wish them all the best in the future!
Here are all the iTunes positions of Work From Home, according to the time stated above! Upcoming Live Performances
It has been announced over the past week, Fifth Harmony will be appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live! for their second time! This is very exciting news as the girls will get the opportunity to promote their new single Work From Home and try to earn more sales. Hoping they will do better than they did on Live! with Kelly & Michael.
Work From Home has achieved several views on YouTube and managed to accumulate to over 50 million views! With a steady climb and keeping up the daily streams, Work From Home will be Vevo certified in a matter of weeks! Cross our fingers for more views and also for better sales as they days go by! Thanks for reading and have a nice day you lovely harmonizer <3
Hey Harmonizers! After spending 4-5 months last year updating all of y'all on the success of Worth It and its respective chart changes, I'm here to now begin updating you on the success of Work From Home. From chart changes on Billboard and international charts to success on iTunes charts and certifications, make sure to check back here for new updates every week! (This Work From Home update will cover from Friday, February 26th to Thursday, March 10th, 2016)
Billboard (USA) Charts
Harmonizers (like me <3) have proven to be very dedicated and loyal to Fifth Harmony. Days before the release of the single, harmonizers were freakin' out 5H wasn't doing a lot of promo prior to the release day..... So Harmonizers took it upon themselves to twitter trend #5DaysTillWorkFromHome and counted down the days through these trends. I'm not sure if this caught many people's attention, but harmonizers did manage to set the single on fire when it got released. Work From Home rocketed to the top 10 of the iTunes charts and in the top 5, although never achieving #1. Regardless, the consistency of airplay from radios, streaming on Spotify and YouTube and the sales through iTunes managed to get Work From Home as Fifth Harmony's highest debut at #12, tying Worth It for 5H's highest charting song on the Billboard Hot 100! Worth It took around 5 months to achieve #12, and the fact that the girls could score this high debut within no time means that their fanbase has grown after the Reflection era. There are several other debuts on the other Billboard charts, but snagging #12 in their first week on the Hot 100 is just too incredible. Check out all the debut positions on the Billboard Charts! (Pop Songs and Rhythmic Songs are subjected to change due to the amount of airplay on radios, but the numbers below are the exact positions they debuted) Debut Positions of Work From Home Billboard Hot 100: #12 Billboard Pop Songs: #30 Billboard Digital Songs: #5 Billboard Streaming Songs: #13 Billboard On-Demand Songs: #13 Billboard Rhythmic: #39 Billboard YouTube Music Charts: #14 Billboard Twitter Top Tracks: #2 (Debuted in #2 last week) Charts Yet to Debut In

International Charts
Fifth Harmony's 3x Platinum single Worth It took the world by storm with it's catchy beats and addictive chorus. It was Fifth Harmony's first all-around international hit and charted in several countries. With exposure to a wide array of countries already, this gave Work From Home an 'easier time' in sales since 5H has already established fans in several international countries. Here's how Work From Home charted internationally, and it's quite impressive! Certifications
Of course it is probably too early for any certifications as this is only the second week since Work From Home's release. Although, expect a certification or two really soon from RIAA. There's a reason why Work From Home debuted at #12 and tied 5H's other highest charting single Worth It. There were some pretty strong sales in the first week and a half and lots of streaming and airplay, so I'm sure the gold certification will come in less than a month or before March even ends!
Live Performances
Three days after the single's release, the girls performed the single for the very first time on Live! with Kelly & Michael's Oscar After Show! I gotta say, this was not their best performance that they could've possibly put out. Camila was okay, Normani was decent, while Dinah and Ally didn't really nail their verses. Lauren was alright, but only because the backtrack kinda covered her voice a little but you could still here her singing live. I believe that it will take time before they manage to put out the best possible performances for this single and I don't think they've gotten used to the choreography of the performance. I've also heard the Ally was sick, so that's probably one reason why she wasn't up to par. I think Ally and Dinah are used to the high notes and belting the songs out, but lower ranges may need more practice with all the dancing they have to do. Check out the performance below and formulate your own opinion!
YouTube
For some reason, I can't post the music video on here yet but since the release of the music video on February 26th, it has accumulated to over 33 million views! Make sure to continue to stream the music video to help Fifth Harmony earn more sales!
If Work From Home is any indicator of the future for Fifth Harmony, I'd say their upcoming album 7/27 will definitely debut successfully on the Billboard 200 and this new era will show up the Reflection era.
Fifth Harmony has left us harmonizers worrying this February. Why? Because the five ladies of the quintet kept quiet about literally everything on their upcoming single and second full-length album. But guess what!? On the night of February 24th, the ladies excited their fans by announcing the title and release date for their next album. They also confirmed their upcoming single will be released tomorrow, February 26th.
(To view the announcement video, click the link beside 'May 20th')
The name of the album is called 7/27, in honour of the date the girls were put together on The X Factor. The girls have come a long way, and it makes sense to pay homage to how it all started. 7/27 is set to be released May 20th, and that is a very reasonable date. In an interview, Camila said the group has finished 99% of the album. It's just a matter of finalizing the tracklist for their album and making some finishing touches. So two months of finalization is a lot of time, unlike what happened in 2014-2015 with their debut album Reflection. Hopefully the date of May 20th will not be pushed back because that seems far enough already.
'Work From Home' is being released tomorrow and I could not be more excited! I got my credit card ready y'all! I'm just a the point of hoping and praying this single is what we've all been waiting for, a song which will finally showcase their vocal abilities. But by the looks of it, people are saying it's a cross between Worth It and another 5H single......
(P.S. people been sayin that the music video will be released the same time as the single, so let's HOPE and PRAY <3)
The girls of 5H are set to appear at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California on the After Oscar Show hosted by Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan from the talk show Live! with Kelly & Michael. Fifth Harmony appeared on their show earlier in 2015 to promote their international hit Worth It and debut album Reflection. It's reported that the girls will perform the lead single Work From Home (releasing Feb. 26, 2016) on the show to promote it and to promote their upcoming sophomore album 7/27 (releasing May. 20, 2016).
It seems like the girls have decided to hang out in L.A. for a while. Ever since the time of the Grammys, the girls have been enjoyin' time in California as they prepare to promote their new era. Who's excited for this new era of 5H and their appearance on the After Oscar Show this upcoming Monday? I know I am <3
Fifth Harmony's new single is called 'Work From Home'!!!!! SO EXCITED! Fifth Harmony didn't announce the name....... some radio station DJ posted on their website and were supposed to announce that the single was comin' out Friday, but instead of saying 'single', they accidentally forgot about secrecy and put in 'Work From Home'.
Well, I don't blame the Radio Station for leaking the name. 5H shoulda announced it like last week..... I don't know why they didn't promote over the past weekend. It's confirmed they will be at a radio station answering questions, not sure if it's about the single though. #4DaysUntilWorkFromHome has been trending recently and is one of the top worldwide trends as I'm typing this! WHO'S EXCITED!?!?!?!
Guess what harmonizers? The newest 5H single might be a lot closer than we thought! That's right, with photos from their Music Video shoots and a confirmation that some radio stations have already been given a special sneak peek of their latest track, it's possible that the single will be out in the last week of February!
The newly created buzz recently for #5H2 started up again in the end of January 2016 and beginning of February 2016 after 3-4 months of the Fifth Harmony members spending some quality family time and a much needed break after almost 8 months of touring, attending awards show, promoting singles and making special guest appearances in several talk shows. The five girls reunited and took a group photo in a desert setting with a sunset and posted on their Fifth Harmony social media sites 'Back to Work' on January 29th, 2016.
I'm very sure that to this day, they have finished recording all of their potential #5H2 tracks. Most of the recording seems to have been done in late 2015 in October and November before they set out to conquer Europe for their European Reflection Tour. So they are in the stage of preparing how to go about promoting their upcoming singles and their new album and finalizing the tracklist. We all know how excruciating it was waiting for them to 'finalize' their tracklist for the Reflection Album back in Fall 2014. Then it got pushed.... and pushed.... and pushed.... until it finally came upon is February 3rd, 2015...... So this is the reason why this time around, we don't have an actual date to look forward to. We're just stuck with the word 'soon' until they're comfortable with officialising a date for the release. Which is pretty understandable in terms of the tragic state all of us harmonizers were in during the Reflection Era....
So anyways, back to the big anticipation for 5H's upcoming single! Turns out that all along for the past two weeks, the girls were already on the set of their new music video and taking photos for the cover art of the new album! The shoot for the music video took place on February 8th and it may already be done right now! Check out some photos from the 5H music video!
Who doesn't love 'I Know What You Did Last Summer'? This single has got the Mendes Army and Harmonizers going crazy, creating buzz all around the music industry. In order to make this collaboration a success, both Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello need to do a lot of promoting to make this song a hit. And it seems as though that is what they are up to, going to several radio stations to attend interviews and perform the single live on talk shows. In one of the upcoming Jingle Balls this year, both Fifth Harmony and Shawn Mendes will be present. Cabello and Mendes both confirmed they would perform the single at the Jingle Ball they were both attending, because.... well, why not? Here's an update of what has happened so far!
So at the end of October and the early weeks this November, both singers began to tease their collaboration! After several sneak peeks to build up for the release of the single(which you can check out here from one of my early posts: Sneak Peeks), the collaborative single was released November 18th, 2015. The single peaked all the way to the Top 10 and jumped from all different kinds of spots ranging from #1 to 10. Sadly, due to the release of One Direction, Adele and Justin Bieber's albums, the single dropped down to the Top 20s and 30s because of the several array of songs those artists have released.
Over the past two weeks, it has been confirmed two popular artists will be collaborating on a single together! The artists consist of Canadian born singer Shawn Mendes, who has a #1 selling debut album, 2 platinum singles and 1 gold single in America. The other artist is Cuban born singer Camila Cabello, who is a part of one of the most popular girl groups as of right now: Fifth Harmony. Fifth Harmony have one multi-platinum single, 2 platinum singles and one gold single in America.
Hey everyone! I apologize for being away from my blog for a little while but I'd like to thank ya'll for the constant views every day and I've reached over 5800 views thus far! Now that I'm back, Fifth Harmony has been killin' it lately. From performances at Reflection: The Summer Tour and other live events, to releasing two singles and two music videos and once again capturing Awards, Fifth Harmony has made it known that their careers are just gettin' started! In this post, I wanna talk about I'm In Love With A Monster. While you read this post, PLEASE read the whole post before thinking I am criticizing too harsh or I'm hatin. I have reasons and they are explained throughout the post. Enjoy my review!
One of the newest thrilling and spooky track released by the girl group as the main theme for Hotel Transylvania 2, Fifth Harmony is well on their way of expanding to different kinds of listeners. Kids will be accompanied by their guardians to see the kid-friendly movie and with the song to be featured in the movie, viewers may likely buy the Hotel Transylvania 2 Song......? Is there a reason not to? Let me break down the song and what I think of all this production and commotion for the Hotel Transylvania 2 promotional track.
First off, the song is hell-of-a-lot better than half of the songs Fifth Harmony has released. Why you may ask? The song actually lets our beautiful-ears be blessed with ALL of the voices of the girls in Fifth Harmony. Finally, management and production finally make sure all of the girls are heard. But there's one obvious mistake in this single after you hear the whole song. Lauren has way too much solos in this song. Maybe it's to forgive that she didn't get solos in 5H's most successful single to date, but Dinah didn't get a solo in BO$$ nor Sledgehammer and she was only heard in Worth It for 30 seconds. Here's how I'm In Love With A Monster has been split up in terms of time to each of the girls, according to harmonizer fans on twitter: Lauren: 1 minute and 25 seconds Camila: 21 seconds Ally: 15 seconds Dinah: 14 Seconds Normani: 10 Seconds
I understand all you Lauren fans adore Lauren and this is great that she got to shine, but Lauren getting a solo during the first verse AND the bridge is ridiculous. Lauren's voice is also overpowered in harmonies during the chorus. Please explain why Normani and Dinah had to share a verse. Lauren, Camila and Ally all got verses and it makes no sense why Normani and Dinah couldn't get solos as well. Just give the bridge Lauren sang to Dinah and leave the first part of the second verse to Normani please.
For lyrics, I find it fun and entertaining. This is probably one of the only times Fifth Harmony will make a song that doesn't have some kind of deep emotional meaning behind it. This song just means that some girls like bad boys or some guys like bad girls. That's all there is to it. If you're looking for more inspirational songs, listen to more of Fifth Harmony's other songs.
The music video is honestly so good. Camila named this music video her favourite one yet to make, as they let loose and become fun 'characters'. They flirt with all kinds of monsters and show off some great group choreography. They all know how to act in a way that fits with the song and the scenes. Lauren is especially mysterious with her beautiful eyes looking into the camera ;) <3
Overall, I'd give this song a 4 out of 5. The vocals are spot on and the music video is great and very 'child-friendly', but the way they split up the song among 5 vocalists is very weird. But amazing song and make sure to buy the single on iTunes and check out the music video below! Thanks for checking out my review!
Have you been anticipating the haunting-single by Fifth Harmony? Well you're in luck! Many harmonizers have gotten to hear the single just today! Listen Below at SoundCloud! https://soundcloud.com/reguiculous/im-in-love-with-a-monster
I love the song! Every member of the group gets a solo and their harmonies are on point! Their vocals are out of this world and I have to give it to Lauren for impressing me in this song with some impressive vocals! All the girls shined and this song fits perfectly with Hotel Transylvania. Enjoy!
Hey everyone! I have here this week's Worth It Update! Sorry this was posted late, I had some emergencies recently I needed to take care of but I'm back to give you the full coverage of what's been goin' on with Worth It. This update will cover from July 24th to July 31st, 2015. Hope this will help ya'll keep up with the continuing success! Billboard Digital Songs: #11 to #14
Billboard Twitter Top Tracks: #2 to #7
Billboard On-Demand Songs: #19 to #20
There were some minor changes and drops on the charts recently but the most significant improvement was on the Billboard Hot 100! The girls have been in the 14th position of the chart for the past 3 weeks and now they've finally gained some steam to step up two places to a new all-time high in #12! I will admit, that this single has been out since January 2015 and this is probably the longest amount of success they've had for one single. Sure, there was BO$$ and Sledgehammer, but those singles were only popular for about a month or two.
The other Billboard Charts show decent changes and not much out of the ordinary other than a little rollercoaster of ups and downs this past week. Overall, I'm so happy they got #12 on the Hot 100 and let us all pray they can reach Top 10!

Hey everyone! I'll be blogging about Fifth Harmony's plans for their next singles and I found some interviews that hinted they might be releasing one more single from their album! But first, I need YOU to help give your input in ranking which songs you believe should be their next singles! Take the poll provided in the link below! Thanks! https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/96XG2HD
Hey Harmonizers! It's time for this week's Worth It update from July 17th to July 23rd, 2015. American Charts (Billboard)
Here are the chart positions for Worth It on the American Billboard Charts:
Charts 'Worth It' has shown an increase in position
Billboard Pop Songs: #7 to #5 (Re-Peak)
Billboard Digital Songs: #16 to #11
Billboard On-Demand Songs: #20 to #19

Charts 'Worth It' has shown a decrease in position
Billboard Streaming Songs: #14 to #15
Billboard Songs of the Summer Chart: #14 to #15
Billboard Rhythmic Songs: Dropped Below Top 20 (No Specific Details Yet)
The changes are pretty steady and there's the same amount of the change as last week. The single has been #14 for three straight weeks now on the Billboard Hot 100, holding its position for a while now. While staying strong, will the single still escalate a few spots or start dropping down once again?
For the other Billboard Charts, I don't think any of them will reach any new peaks soon. It'll be rather a rollercoaster of increases and decreases until new singles around the world and in the United States will take over the charts and send Worth It down. But will Fifth Harmony release a new single to keep their success going? Only time will tell.

Overall, not bad. It does make sense that Worth It may be seeing it's final glimpse of success before settling down the charts. The single soaring ever since end of March when they've released their music video for the single. After four consecutive months, the single is starting to lose steam and it may be time for the We'll see how the girls do next week on the charts!
Hey Harmonizers! I'm back with this week's official Worth It Update for the week of July 11th. Fifth Harmony's latest single is currently experiencing many international success, although the single experiences a slight rollercoaster throughout the USA Billboard Charts. Let's get caught up, shall we?
(This post will feature throwbacks to Fifth Harmony's appearance at the Today Show to prepare for tomorrow's Live Mini-Concert!) (*Note*: For the most recent Worth It Post covering August 1st to August 6th, visit here: Worth It Update #11 *This post you are currently reading is from July 9th, 2015)
Billboard (USA) Charts
Worth It, like I have said above, is a rollercoaster of success and downfalls at this point. While receiving some new peaks on some charts, the single is losing ground on other charts slowly. But the girls' latest single managed to sneak up the Billboard Hot 100 for this week, re-peaking at #14! That's pretty good and it just shows that Harmonizers haven't given up on sales and streaming yet. We'll see how the single does for next week's Hot 100 Chart. Below I have made a summary of all the changes on Billboard Charts that involves Worth It.
Charts 'Worth It' has shown an increase in position

Several countries are taking great notice to Worth It and the single has debuted in five new international charts. Fifth Harmony is starting to take over the world with their latest single and they're becoming a huge hit! Hopefully this year and next year the girls will experience the same success they had with Worth It.
UK: #81 to #51 (New Peak)
Exclusively for the UK, I'm so proud of how the UK Harmonizers are doing. You guys are killing it! There had just been a midweek update released by the UK Official Singles Chart and showed that Fifth Harmony is hovering on #3 right now! WOW! It is hinted that Fifth Harmony could go Top 5 in the UK next week and I'm so pumped to see how the results will turn out. It does make sense, since Worth It has been killing iTunes in the UK holding onto #2 and #3 positions. Worth It has done significantly better than many other Fifth Harmony singles there are, so it makes sense that Worth It will surpass BO$$'s peak of 21 in the UK. We'll wait and see!
Also happening internationally, Worth It has recently been certified gold by Music Canada for selling over 40,000 copies of the single! Well done ladies! That is their first single certification outside of America! I think there are more certifications to come in the future internationally due to the tremendous success Worth It has, so get ready!

Hey everyone! I kinda got bored today and I thought that since I am a mixer as well, I can post some Little Mix things on here to satisfy all you mixers out there! I actually watched Little Mix back in 2011 on the X Factor and they had shown great potential on the show. And look where they are now! I'm not as obsessed with Little Mix as I am with Fifth Harmony, but I still keep tabs on Little Mix because these two girl groups are the two most successful at the moment (other than the K-Pop girl groups with like a billion views.....) So in this post, I'll be going over the history of the first single of the girl group's third album and how Black Magic has been doing!
In February 2015, Little Mix revealed that they have chosen the first single from their third album. They said that this whole album introduces a new sound the girls are exploring, and I can't wait. From the success of the first two albums, you can just imagine how Little Mix will come back strong into the music industry after spending months of working on the album. Many fans had already speculated through rumours that the single was called Black Magic and on May 14, 2015, Little Mix confirmed the song's name to be 'Black Magic'! The song was scheduled to be released on May 26th, but the single was leaked online on May 20th so they were forced to release the single earlier on May 21st. As nice as it was to hear the song early, I felt bad that the single got leaked and it was out of the girls' control.
On the very same day the single was 'released', it debuted across the country of the UK through radio airplays and under their record label Syco Music, the single was released in the United States as a single for digital download. The single was also released in Australia on May 22, 2015 for digital download as well. The single is set to be released July 10th in Ireland the UK for digital download, so you better be ready mixers! This single was honestly set as a song the girls' hoped would be their breakthrough in America. Simon Cowell also agreed that it may just be the song that the United States may love and can be turned into a hit. Simon Cowell complimented the song greatly and loves the single, much to Little Mix's surprise. Hopefully Simon can find a way to get Little Mix up there with Fifth Harmony in America, and same for Fifth Harmony in the UK. Sadly, for Little Mix, the song only reached somewhere in the 60s of the American iTunes charts and never debuted onto the Billboard Hot 100 just yet. I bet they'll have big plans to promote the single in the US and North America very soon. For other charts, the single has managed to peak up to #11 in Australia and #155 in France. The single has also peaked to #63 on the Belgium Ultratip Flanders Chart. The single has yet to gain much attention and only has around 10 million views on YouTube after the music video was released on May 29th. The single was performed for the first time live at this year's Capital Summertime Ball and they put on a great show to create much anticipation for the UK release of the single. Check out the performance below!
There isn't much to talk about for Black Magic yet, but I'm sure that Little Mix's management team will get things going. Sooner or later, Black Magic may be turned into Little Mix's most successful track! Let's hope for the best! Thanks for joining me today and I'll be posting about Black Magic weekly. Come back next week and enjoy their music video in the meantime!
Photo of the day: Back when Fifth Harmony's single BO$$ was just being released and the girls partnered up with Do Something to create the #ImABOSS campaign to encourage young people. The girls' motives for this campaign were to put confidence and kindness into the youth and its about owning and sharing what makes you confident and strong.
Worth It has shown tremendous success so far! After June, I'm pretty sure 5H will be dropping hints on which single will be their fourth single from the album Reflection. In this post, I'll be giving my song-to-song review of the singles of the regular album of the Reflection! (Sorry, can't do deluxe because singles usually aren't formed from the deluxe album)
1. Top Down
Top Down starts off the album in a nice pop-introduction. It's pretty catchy and the song lasts for 3 minutes and 40 seconds. The song fulfills the listener's need of listening to a mashup of different instruments, with electric guitars and saxophones blazing through the song. This song is a good-song all around, but I think it's missing a quality. I love it when they perform Top Down live and it adds some energy to the crowd. The only part I wonder is if this song is catchy enough to catch on to not just harmonizers, but everyone around the world. I think this song would be pretty boring after hearing it for a second time and I'd want to listen to some more upbeat-catchy songs like Worth It. This song is great for the album but I just don't feel it when it comes to Top Down being one of their hit singles.
Rating: 3.5/5 2. This is How We Roll This is How We Roll, as many would think, is really a similar tune to Scream & Shout. Sure, the verses have the same beat but I think Fifth Harmony's song shows more vocal range than Britney ever showed on her single. I think This is How We Roll has that catchy anthem many people would want to jam out with their friend with at a party. I especially love Ally singing that bridge, it's always that moment in a song where artists slow down the track before a huge belt. When you think the song is enough, Camila just sucks you back in with her voice just electrifying the song and you get the chills as they finish their last chorus. I definitely see a lot of potential for this song, but its hard to tell if it will break the record that Worth It has left for the girls.
Rating: 4.5/5
3. Everlasting Love Everlasting Love is like a pop-ballad that pleases listeners with the theme of love. There's just something to really love about this single. Lauren's Voice? The beautiful chorus? The repetition in some lines? I'm not sure but if Fifth Harmony ever wants to go from their pop anthems BO$$ and Worth it to a more settle-ballad song, Everlasting Love would be the direction to take.
Rating: 4/5 4. Like Mariah Like Mariah is one hell of a single, I won't lie. With every girl shining in their own way in different parts of the song, its seems like management finally got the solo distribution right in the group! Its just the right amount we all need to hear from the girls individually. I think there's not as much harmonies as I like, but the Always Be My Baby sample sure does satisf us with some unified voices. I love it when they perform this song live and it gives the audience the energy they need in live concerts. When they get down and do some dance moves during Tyga's rapping, that's when the audience really goes wild! (The Video below contains a performance of Like Mariah AND a Mariah Carey Medley, so skip half of it if you just want to see Like Mariah)
Rating: 4/5 5. Them Girls Be Like
I'm not the greatest fan of this song and I'm sure some might agree. This gathers in all of the modern-day themes of a girl and is presented to us in many verses. Taking selfies, looking at yourself in the mirror and doing things on your phone, maybe many girls can relate to this? There's just something in this song that is clearly lacking for me. There is no shining moment in the girls voices and it all feels a little boring after the first half of the song. I like the bridge before the final chorus but that's about it. Nothing really special to it.
Rating: 3/5 6. Reflection
The girls slay Reflection live most of the time. When I first heard them perform the song live, they are so captivating! They got all their dance moves down and sass the heck out of the performance. The track is definitely a lot better live because the instruments seem more powerful and energetic than the song in the album. This could be a great pop anthem for people to rock out to and ironically, Reflection is the name of the album. Doesn't that show some significance for Reflection? My one problem, would be the relatability to guys. I mean, I enjoy it but will guys my age find any interest in girls empowering other girls?
Rating: 4/5 7. Suga Mama Suga Mama is definitely a thrilling song and it is very sassy. It's got an addictive beat to listen to I have no problem with hearing it more than once. Like most of their songs, it is very catchy to listen to. I don't see it being a single though. I believe that it's more like a song that stuns the audience during concerts, I'm not sure if I'd listen to it on the radio.
Rating: 3.5/5 8. We Know We Know was one of the songs performed right after the release of BO$$. I remember how ecstatic I was to listen to We Know the first time and I think the girls really dig into their vocals and show off a great sound. When I hear it live and acoustic in interviews, I'm just very mesmerized. Their harmonies are spot on with each other and I think people will grow to love this song. The one problem I have with this song is the kind of ballad-mood that just doesn't get me going. If we want to continue the streak of rocking-upbeat pop singles, I wouldn't recommend this as a single.
Rating: 4/5
I think it's safe to say that it'll be between Like Mariah and This is How We Roll. They're both great pop songs, but they have completely different sounds. What do you think should be their next single?
Until next time, see you later and I hope you enjoyed this post!
