- Their music is fierce and sassy, embracing their own sexuality and being confident in their-selves
Fifth Harmony released their debut album Reflection worldwide in early 2015 and in the U.K. in the summer this year. Their album includes many female empowerment tracks such as BO$$, Worth It, Reflection and Suga Mama. Other inspiring tracks for all individuals includes This Is How We Roll and 'Brave Honest Beautiful'. Throughout all of their songs, Fifth Harmony encourages their harmonizers and all individuals to not shy away from who they are. The girls make the most out of their songs by making their tracks realistic and relatable. Relating to the double standards for women in the world, wanting or looking for love, hanging out with friends or standing up for yourself, all of these topics are thoroughly covered in their full-length debut album. Give it a listen if you haven't already and check out the music video of BO$$ to see their empowering minds at work.
- Fifth Harmony supports feminism and empower all youth and individuals to be themselves
When it comes to their fans the harmonizers, Fifth Harmony cares deeply about them and all their supporters. This can be demonstrated through their partnership with Do Something in 2014. In collaboration with the release of their single BO$$, Fifth Harmony and Do Something instilled confidence into individuals to give them the opportunity to own up to their unique qualities which make them who they are. They wanted individuals to share to the world what makes them confident and strong. Fifth Harmony's work to support their fans and individuals around them was continued this year when they were announced as ambassadors for the Cybersmile Foundation. By becoming a part of Cybersmile, they show their support of anti-cyberbullying initiatives and help victims who are facing bullying online.
Fifth harmony cares deeply about their fans and among some of the most kindest celebrities who continue to show love to their beloved fans.
- Fifth Harmony were the first girl group to reach the Top 15 in the Billboard Hot 100 with their song Worth It since the Pussycat Dolls in 2009 (with their single Jai Ho! (You Are My Destiny))
- Fifth Harmony have been certified one multi-platinum single and two platinum singles in one year
- They have a 4x Vevo Certification for over 400 million views of their music video for Worth It.
These are all my reasons on why Fifth Harmony are being honoured as "Group of the Year". If you have any other suggestions for reasons why they are being honoured, please let me know and I'll add it!
