UK: Fifth Harmony and One Direction

Hey everyone! In this post, I'll be talking about the friendship of Fifth Harmony and One Direction throughout the years, starting from X Factor. Hope you like my post :) (By the ways, all the photos you see below are not mine and I have borrowed them from other websites to contribute to this post. I own none of these photos)

When on the X Factor back in 2012, Fifth Harmony had only been together for about 3-4 months when they were performing live to stay on the show. One Direction came in the Live Shows' Week 2 to perform in front of America on the American X Factor Stage. I'm sure all of the contestants got to meet, or fan-girl over, One Direction and I think that was the first time the girls had met 1D. 

Post X Factor, the girls had just been gaining steam back in 2013 and had small tours to perform in. Getting some much noted attention, Fifth Harmony appeared at the Teen Choice Awards back in 2013 to present the Acuvue Inspire Award to Nick Jonas. It seems that the girls got to meet new friends and catch up with old ones at the Awards show, including meeting up with One Direction and taking a photo together.

I'm not sure if there are any other moments throughout 2014 where they met up with the guys but I'll just skip to 2015 to give you all the juicy bits of their friendship.

So recently in May-June 2015, the girls had arrived in London, England to give some awesome performances in the UK. Starting with G-A-Y in London, then transitioning to Good Morning Britain and Britain's Got Talent and finally performing on the much anticipated Capital Summertime Ball in Wembley. More on the UK will be posted in my next post.

During the girl group's time in the UK and being present at the finale night of Britain's Got Talent, the girls met up with One Direction. The guys and gals seem to be dressed up quite nicely and with a photo like that (below), the night was long from over.

I believe everyone went to a nightclub to party the night away, and it's still sad that Dinah Jane is the only one that is barely legal :( Oh well, she's turning 18 really soon everyone! So back to the club, after a long night, photographers and reporters saw Louis Tomlinson with Fifth Harmony's Lauren Jauregui leaving the club together around 3 A.M. Riding in the same car, photos were still managed to be taken of the two and were published online for the whole world to see. Directioners and Harmonizers alike reacted in numerous ways, some excited and some were angry. Like really angry to the point where it's insane......

Receiving much heat from directioners and fan-girls across the globe, Lauren was victim to many critical tweets from fans. Being called names, I think it's crazy that names were being called just from a photo of these two stars in a car together. Words like 'You're a _____, You're ugly, you're fat....' were thrown at Lauren and its so ridiculous.To all you crazy fans, you got it all wrong... Lauren explains herself for why she was in the car with Louis. "My phone died and I had no way of getting home so Louis said, 'Jump in a car with me' ". Lauren says that she got to hang out with the One Direction singer and they got to know each other properly. It really was sweet on Louis' part to take Lauren home.

I don't understand why all these fans got it wrong between Louis and Lauren, but clearly there are some jealous people who would die to be with Louis I guess.... Lauren denied any dating rumors between Louis and herself, so I'm guessing this whole One Direction situation is done and over with now that the two singers are now separated from one another while they continue their careers. Do you think Lauren and Louis should date?

Fifth Harmony's Journey Through the UK Thus Far

Later this week, the pop-singing quintet is set to arrive in the UK! Counting down the days to their embark to Europe, the UK harmonizers will be re-acquainted with the American Girl Group once again.

Their X Factor UK Appearance

The girls had made an earlier appearance in the UK, performing on the X Factor UK for the very first time. They performed their summer hit 'BO$$' and their performance on the long-running show gave them a boost in sales in the UK and saw their single soar through the charts. BO$$ ended up snatching #21 on the  UK's Official Chart, just out of reach of the Top 20! That's pretty impressive for their UK Debut! Their other single Sledgehammer, only managed to attain spot #112. A little disappointed of the huge margin between the two singles but hey, at least we know there's some dedicated harmonizers out there!

There X Factor UK Performance:

Knowing that there is still a lot of potential for Fifth Harmony in the UK, the girls will be making several appearances. The girl group is set to perform in London's G-A-Y at Heaven Nightclub. Performing all three singles from their debut album Reflection, it should be a great show like many fans have seen during their February-March Tour: The Reflection Tour. The girls pull of great vocals in some shows, here's to hoping they do great this coming Saturday, May 30th!

The Saturday after G-A-Y, the girls will be performing at Capital FM's Summertime Ball! Each year, starting from 2009, the Global Radio hosts the Ball and showcases a star-studded line up of successful musical acts! This year in 2015, the lineup at Wembley Stadium includes:

Sometime I believe in June, Simon Cowell had said Fifth Harmony would make an appearance in Good Morning Britain? I looked around but sources are a little too vague for me to understand if its official or if it was just Simon Cowell at Good Morning Britain talking about Fifth Harmony. Either way, the girls are hopefully going to have an increase in sales in the UK once again after making some un-forgettable appearances.

Fifth Harmony Covers

Fifth Harmony has recently been on Clevver News on YouTube and played a round of Karaoke Roulette! Its a surprise to see all the girls showcase their beautiful voices and how great they can distort their voices into imitating another singer's! Some shined a little more than others, but honestly they are all great singers and all of them were great! I especially was surprised by Ally and Normani, where they did an impression of Shakira and Britney Spears respectively and nailed the voices spot on. I've always knew Ally could do that Shakira impression but for some reason it amazes me everytime I listen to her. Here's the little game if you missed it:

Now that this video has got me thinking, the girls voices have always been great live. Covers especially. Fifth Harmony almost slays every single song they cover and I just don't see a problem with how they sing each one. Well, I guess it's because they make some of them their own so it's hard to compare :) Here's are some Amazing covers they've done (and you may notice most of them are acoustic)
